What the official notice says
The LDC/JSA typing test appears as Part C of Section-IV in Tier-II. The 2025 notice describes the Skill Test/Typing Test as qualifying in nature and says errors are calculated to two decimal places.
Candidates select either English or Hindi as the typing-test medium in the application form. The notice says that choice is final. English candidates are expected to type at 35 WPM and Hindi candidates at 30 WPM, with speed judged from accurate computer entry of a supplied passage over 10 minutes.

Common questions
Can I choose Hindi or English?
The 2025 notice allowed either medium, but required the choice in the application form and treated that choice as final.
Is 35 WPM required for Hindi too?
No. For LDC/JSA in the 2025 notice, the published standard was 35 WPM for English and 30 WPM for Hindi.
